As a retired army medical officer, Dr. Bruce Woolman has practiced medicine under conditions ranging from tents to modern medical centers, and has enjoyed such adventures as jumping out of planes as a flight surgeon. Most recently, he was the Chief of the Army Section of the Department of Defense Medical Examination Review Board at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.
As a graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State University and the Oklahoma College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, Dr. Woolman's career is marked by a long list of army schools and professional army medical experience, as well as several teaching and faculty appointments including Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine, in Seattle, Washington. Board certified in Family Practice, Dr. Woolman has a special interest in wellness and sports medicine. He is also Level II certified by Workers' Compensation.
Choosing Estes Park as "the most beautiful place in the world," Dr. Woolman and his wife, Debra, and their four children, arrived in June of 2000 with plans for eventual retirement here. Enthusiastic about the community, Dr. Woolman enjoys participating in his family's lives, and enjoys photography and many sports.
