Dr. Fonken is a third-generation Coloradoan
who graduated from the University of New Mexico School of
Medicine and then completed his Family Medicine residence in |
Dr. Fonken and his wife, Erin, and their children, Isaac, Elizabeth, and Matthew, all enjoy mountains, outdoor activities, and international interaction, particularly in particularly in Russian, a language that they all speak.

An outdoor enthusiast with an ear for music, Dr. Murphy's diversity is exemplified by both his hobbies and medical background. Since earning his M.D. Degree from the University of California at San Francisco in 1975, he has been involved in various medical activities. These include Chief of Medical Services at the Watsonville Community Hospital and President of the Santa Cruz County Medical Society. After owning a private medical practice for fourteen years, he became involved in medical missionary work in the Ozarks of Arkansas during the 1990s.
Board certified in Family Practice, Geriatrics, and Addiction Medicine, Dr. Murphy joined Timberline Medical in March of 2000. He is also the Medical Director of both Prospect Park Living Center and The Harmony Foundation, an addiction treatment center.
Fluent in both Spanish and English, Dr. Murphy and his wife, Rosa Maria, have three children. They are members of Our Lady of the Mountains Church in Estes Park.

Dr. Norris received her MD from UCHSC where she graduated with honors and went on to her Family Practice Residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Denver. Since residency, she has worked in a variety of medical settings including private practice on Whidbey Island in the Peugot Sound, a part-time physician for Kaiser Permanente in Colorado, and most recently serving as primary care doctor for the medically underserved on the border of Mexico near El Paso where Dr. Norris learned to speak fluent Spanish. She and her family plan to continue involvement on the border, as they enjoyed two years serving with International Family Missions and made many good friends there.
Dr. Norris and her husband both work part time and share the responsibility of raising six children aged 19 months to 12 years. Having moved regularly for some years, and this area being home for much of their extended family, they are very excited to settle in Estes Park where biking, hiking, artistic and other interests are easily pursued.
Dr. Norris’ practice is open to new patients. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Norris and her family!

Curt Weibel received his Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practioner in 1998 after previously receiving both his RN and MSN degrees from UNC in Greeley, Colorado. When Curt joined the Timberline team in 1998, he brought with him previous experience from both the Boulder and Estes Park hospitals.
A member of the Estes Park community for over 20 years, Curt was the head coach of our high school baseball team for two years and an assistant football coach for seven years. He currently provides medical support for Estes Park High School athletics. One of his fondest experiences was working with inner-city youth in Los Angeles for nine months with World Impact.

As a Family Nurse Practitioner in Colorado, Curt has prescriptive authority and may provide patient care independent of a physician. He is interested in providing quality primary health care and has a special interest in sports medicine.

As a retired army medical officer, Dr. Bruce Woolman has practiced medicine under conditions ranging from tents to modern medical centers, and has enjoyed such adventures as jumping out of planes as a flight surgeon.
